The product contains Ferrochel® – a patented chelated form of ferrous bisglycinate that is gentler on the stomach and more easily absorbed than other iron supplements (ie. Ferrous sulfate). It is safe for use by pregnant and lactating women, teenagers, and adults. Unlike most iron preparations, it will not result in constipation or gastric upset.

Combination of Iron and vitamins

Valens Iron Plus also contains vitamin C, which increases iron absorption, and folic acid which contributes to normal blood formation. In addition to that, it also contains vitamins B6, B12 and thiamine that contribute to normal psychological function and normal functioning of the nervous system.

In 5 ml:

  • Iron: 9 mg (65 % RDI*)
  • Vitamin C: 12 mg (15 % RDI*)
  • Thiamine: 1 mg (91 % RDI*)
  • Vitamin B6: 1 mg (72 % RDI*)
  • Folic acid: 200 µg (100 % RDI*)
  • Vitamin B12: 2 µg (80 % RDI*)

Considering the recommended daily dose, this product served for 20 days. 

Ingredients

water, concentrated (apple, orange, carrot) juice (21 %), honey (21 %), Ferrochel® (Ferrous bisglycinate chelate), sodium L-ascorbate, natural orange flavor, preservative: potassium sorbate, thickener: xanthan gum, thiamine mononitrate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, pteroylmonoglutamic acid, methylcobalamin.

Usage and safety 

Shake well before every use. Take on empty stomach, approximately 30 minutes before meal. The recommended dose for adults is 10 ml. Children after 3 to 14 years can take 5 ml per day or as directed by a health care practitioner.

Store in a dry and dark place at a temperature not exceeding 25ᵒC. Refrigerate after opening. Do not freeze. Once opened, use within 2 months.

All ingredients are in dosages that are safe to consume.

Valens Iron Plus is suitable for vegetarians. It does not contain any artificial colors, flavors, lactose, alcohol or gluten.

Iron, enriched with vitamins D3 and B6

Valens Iron Junior is an easy to use food supplement for children in the form of drops. It contains SunActive®Fe – a patented liposomal Iron in the form of ferric pyrophosphate, which doesn’t leave the unpleasant (metallic) aftertaste. Iron, vitamin B6 and vitamin D contribute to normal function of the immune system, while iron and vitamin B6 also contribute to normal red blood cell formation, reduction of tiredness and fatigue and normal energy-yielding metabolism.

Valens Iron Junior drops have excellent banana flavor, which makes them especially popular with children.

  • Iron: 7 mg (50 % NRV*)
  • Vitamin B6: 0,7 mg (50 % NRV*)

Who is Valens Iron Plus made for?

Valens Iron Plus is particularly beneficial for women, including lactating mothers, children, adolescents, the elderly, vegetarians and those with an active lifestyle. These have higher iron requirements, poor absorption or can´t consume enough iron with food only.

Is Valens Iron Plus suitable for vegans?

Unfortunately, no. It contains honey for great taste of the liquid, but is therefore unsuitable for vegans.

What food is rich with Iron?

Variety of good food choices can meet your body´s need for iron, including vegetables. So vegetarianism doesn`t necessarily cause iron deficiency – although iron from vegetables have a significantly lower absorption rate.

  • dried fruit
  • leaf vegetables
  • leguminousplants
  • whole grain
  • nuts

It is important to consume enough vitamin C as well, as it increases iron absorption. Coffee, alcohol and tobacco have opposite effect.
